Join us in Perth in the Lobby of Parmelia Hilton, 191 St Georges Terrace, for an informative session about entering the US defence market with various experts and participants. Steve Baxter from Beaten Zone Ventures will host the panel discussion along with Panelists Judd McCann from Akana Ittatoba, Robert Dane from Ocius Technology, Greg Whitehouse from VESPIIA and Dan Evangelisti from Orbital UAV to discuss the multiple ways, pitfalls, lessons learned,and success paths into the US DoD market.
The US DoD budget is ~USD$870B compared to ~USD$32B for the Australian DoD budget. Even if the Australian DoD was the perfect customer, a much larger Allied market exists. The reality is that generally, the fastest way to get technology into the hands of ADF Warfighters is to sell it to the US DoD and then have it come back here through FMS or direct sale from a US Vendor.
The US has more than 12,000 taxation jurisdictions and is a free market economy with very little in common with our home market.
This session is about sharing different ways to think about this market, the terms, terminology, timeframes, methods and more to help you succeed in the US.
